ABOUT US
About Barber Aflock: an independent car and automotive journal covering engine performance, accessories, road safety, vehicle design and diagnostics with honest 2026 advice.
Barber Aflock is an independent journal for car owners and drivers. We write practical guides about engine performance, accessories, road safety, vehicle design and auto diagnostics, always asking the same question: will this help you make a better decision about your car?

Who we are
We are a small group of mechanics, installers and automotive writers who prefer workshop facts to showroom language. Barber Aflock started in 2026 as a shared notebook of real prices, fitment notes and ownership costs. Today we publish free guides for drivers who want to keep a car reliable, safe and enjoyable without being sold something they do not need.
Our mission
Our mission is simple: explain what a job involves, what it should cost and when you can safely say no. Every week we cover Engine Performance, Car Accessories, Road Safety, Vehicle Design and Auto Diagnostics, with clear 2026 advice on parts, prices and maintenance that you can act on.
Editorial standards
No sponsored rankings, no pay-to-win lists. We buy at retail what we test, disclose relationships and correct mistakes in public. Numbers come from supplier quotes, workshop invoices and published service data, never from a press release alone. If a product fails in real use, we say so.
The team
Marcus Bell (engine tuning), Lena Ortiz (accessories and installation), Samuel Reed (road safety), Aisha Rahman (vehicle design) and Victor Hale (auto diagnostics). Supported by contributing testers who review every guide before it is published.
